Abstract

The concept of the high school Ukrainization has no established definition in historical terminology. In many researches the concept was linked to learning the tendencies in the systemic usage of the Ukrainian language in the educational and scientific process, the creation of new educational programs and/or the reorganization of the management system by schools in the conditions of the revival of the Ukrainian statehood. The aim of the study is the complex learning of the scientific studies where authors describe the high school reformation in nine provinces of Naddniprianshchyna. During the National Revolution they were subordinated to the General Secretary government and to the Council of National Ministers of the Ukrainian Central government that was soon called the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian State and in 1919 it was recalled the Council of National Ministers of the Directory of the Ukrainian National Republic. The tasks of the research were formulated in tracking the changes in high school management, the directions in the reformation of the educational process, language, the creation of the educational programs, the development of scientific activities in Ukrainian institutions of higher education. The analysis of the studies showed that these problems were examined together with scientific and sometimes opposite interests of the scientists that were investigating different directions in the history of Ukrainian revolution. The exception is only the complex investigation of the history of Ukrainian education. In general, scientists paid more attention to the reformation processes in the imperial system of education, the development of the Ukrainian university and special higher education, the illumination of the scientists’ activity in the revolutionary high school transformation during the Ukrainian revolution. It is also mentioned that the above said problems must be deeply investigated on the theoretical and regional levels.
